It´s probably a way to have an interesting evening, with a lot of passion...

I personally would get rid of all the gifts anyways. It might be nice for the children though. For adults the gifts don´t have to be on a specific date imho. Like - it feels always forced. It´s imho better if You offer to have a meal, or to have a visit in a spa when one is randomly walking somewhere, and it could be a good idea for both. Like - spending time together - or gifting time alone to relax. While the latter could be used for gaming. So it´s a bit like the kitchen utensils...

Word on the street is Mrs. Devsman is a good cook. Get her something for the kitchen. Something high quality. Something she'll use often.

thats why i think material gifts for your partner should only be gotten spontaneously to make them happy for a brief period, but special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries one should seek something more personal so it does not feel forced. foods, spas, and other pampering things are nice too, but i think those should be gifts for other times.

something like bringing them to the location of your first date and recreating it, this would be the perfect anniversary gift for me.

Well, she does like a handful of movies. The Incredibles, Princess Bride and Lord of the Rings come to mind. But it's overall not her thing. Her viewing is entirely YouTube shorts these days, because they help her sleep. Or actually, there was a Pride and Prejudice series like 30 years ago that she's watched a billion times.

Favorite band is The Beatles. Favorite food is probably pizza. I dunno how to even answer favorite place. Maybe Spain?

This does help a little. Maybe I could make her a drawing of Gandalf and George Harrison eating pizza in Spain, lol. If I could draw, I mean.

I like to go shopping with my mother sometimes, I was standing at the register with my mum and she asked me what I wanted for christmas, knowing how stupid i would've felt if i said "the gabecube" i reluctantly said "i'll think about it" it was such a cringe aversion i've been thinking about it for days now. i still don't know why she thinks she needs to buy me anything at all, well of course I do. but I have trouble accepting it~
