but i think there is certainly a subset of people who do leak repressed feelings through violence and hostility
Yeah, the clips are not perfect, but they highlight exactly the problem you also see here on Steam. People start criticizing in others what they hate about themselves, as you’ve already pointed out.
Pretty tall order to get every country to agree with you, tbh....
Well, you know what they say. If you truly believe it, it might come true. :D
You might also want to say it three times in a row while spinning around in a circle during a full moon, then maybe it’ll work.
especially if you look at the media that cringe has sabotaged
being annoyed by and hating "woke" because it destroyed lots of creative ♥♥♥♥ does not imply anything about your own sexuality, this is likely the #1 reason people hate that ♥♥♥♥
as for the people who actively from the very beginning have a phobia without being influenced by witnessing the damage of the woke mind virus, and are actually hateful to gay people, more likely.
Yeah,I get that. You can be gay or queer and still get tired of all the woke stuff especially when it ruins stuff you actually enjoy.
I was more talking about the people who straight-up hate LGBTQ+ folks just for being who they are. That kind of aggression usually comes from fear or self-hate, not just being annoyed at trends. There’s definitely a difference between being fed up with overhyped stuff and being outright hostile to people.
>Gay people won their rights
>Then gay people kept fighting for their "rights" and the organizations that made money fighting for these causes didn't stop grifting
>Then they started acting like the same people who oppressed them and shoved every disgusting detail of their bedroom lives down peoples throats
>Now people are back to hating them
If you asked me what happened I would put on my tinfoil hate and point to research studies in business showing that these sensitivity training classes actually cause more division, and that division is purposely used to keep workers from unionizing and organizing. The government noticed this and said oh boy sure don't want people organizing over how we are basically a corporate welfare state that is trying to usher neofuedalism in, lets get historically marginalized people, use social media to drum up a victim complex and keep them arguing over petty and dumb things while we erode their social liberties and prepare to make them pay for an AI bail out then tell them it's their fault for wanting AI and blame them for environmental issues.
But thats just a crazy conspiracy theory
Yeah, I see where you’re coming from with all that and I even agree and I get that a lot of people feel overwhelmed or annoyed by how some things are presented nowadays.
But my point is more about the people who straight-up attack LGBTQ+ folks just for existing. That kind of hate usually isn’ about politics, corporate schemes, or grifting it’s about fear, self-hate, or being unable to accept themselves. You can criticize trends, overhyped movements, or even organizations all you want, but that doesn’t excuse being aggressive toward real people. And that’s the part I see a lot here on Steam.
as a queer person in a country with lgbtq+ rights worse than many third world countries, i get it. but unfortunately really you cannot stop others from hating. you can try and be kind to them, you can try and show them you are a human being just like them and that it is nothing to get worked up over, but generally such hatreds are deep seated, cultural and generational.
it is not something most who have drop, they usually hold onto those prejudices for life. i think it is easier to just ignore such peoples as a queer person and do everything you can to have a happy life.
That you would suggest that this has equivalency to "the same people who oppressed them" and that it's gay people's fault that people hate them perfectly encapsulates the narrative they have to fight against.
