Is PC gaming doomed?
With RAM prices rising due to AI, and companies like AMD, and NVidia prioritizing AI over gaming, and prices of the GPUs soon to rise, plus talk of them cutting support for older hardware... Is this the end of PC gaming? Is this why Valve made the Steam Machine? It doesn't look good, and AI might end up killing gaming as we know it, or setting it back years.

No, PC gaming has been ‘dying’ every year since 1980 and it has had more comeback tours than the Rolling Stones. You can always buy a B580. Price to performance king.

Youre not completely wrong, but we have never seen something like this happen.

LOL No, gaming is a hobby for all ages. Has nothing to do with "growing up", but prices going crazy. The average age of a gamer is 35.

I concur, the prices are crazy like red redemption 1 is nearly 50 usd; a 15 years old game ... what for?

Mobile games dominate the market, and people who hesitate spending 800 on a entry level computer seem to have no problem dropping more than that on a new cell phone. In the end, PC and console market isn't dying but I do see a slow down until prices become stable. It is just a matter of time the A.I. boom will end and a lot of prices should drop.

Depends but €500 is alot indeed. I have a budget of €300 max for a decent 32GB RAM kit. For 64GB, the maximum I'd pay is €450, and I'm looking for a speed of at least 6600MHz and 7000MHz.

Given that some performance is always lost no matter the MHz indication.
