Lawyer ♥♥♥♥♥ up the most basic aspects of Grand Jury procedure.
Obviously political prosecution gets tossed on its ear.
"Only the best people."
Remember when Trump was in court for fraud, his supporters kept saying "it shouldn't matter, the banks made their money back and no one got hurt."
Oh, goodness. /facepalm
I don't want to die on this planet.
Yeah, but it'll take a minute to put together the evidence and competence necessary to make an indictment stick, and Bondi ain't it.
Yeah Trump's supporters were idiots. They were confronted with the logic that by that reasoning no drunk driver should face charges unless they crash on the way home as otherwise no one was hurt by them driving drunk....
Attempted murder shouldn't be a charge if the person was stopped before they tried because no one got hurt....
The banks involved in Trumps indictment actually testified in his defense. This sets a precedent that what the banks say matter little to the court proceedings.
And it will just get dismissed again, for Comey it will be almost impossible to charge him again because the statute of limitations expired. They can't just refile as the grand jury verdict was tossed out as illegal and they can't convene a new grand jury because the statute of limitations expired.
The only way it could be refiled was if the original indictment stood as it was obtained before the statute of limitations expired.
The banks testified that while they weren't hurt by Trump's actions they confirmed that Trump routinely inflated his assets and they would lower it by billions. They just said he still had enough money to secure the loan, but the banks actually confirmed he faked his financials.
Someone doesn't have to be hurt by a crime for it to be a crime. Drunk driving for instance without crashing is still a crime. Firing a gun into the air illegally is still a crime even if no one is hurt, illegally burning trash is a crime even if no damage occurs, etc.
Meanwhile the mortgage company for Letitia James on the other hand said no fraud at all exists.
It must be humiliating for his supporters to have to shovel his ♥♥♥♥ like this. I mean it should be but they seem to love the job.
Kinda like those Casinos. And Steaks, and Trump University, and, and, and ...
I mean there was a reason why literally every lawyer in the DOJ refused to sign their name to Comey's indictment. Think about that. They have HUNDREDS of lawyers. If any single one of them had signed their names the case wouldn't have been thrown out.
