We can but dream!
Venezuela is already all those things.
Then Maduro might want to keep his drug boats out of international waters.
Reminds me that the folks in your govt knew the Saudis did 9/11 (which was side effect of Operation Cyclone aka funding the Mujahideen (religious zealots) that later funded Al-Qaeda & the Taliban and similar type of groups), yet choose to invade Iraq for the oil and Afghanistan for the opium & rare earth minerals...
Won't accomplish anything. What you're talking about is post hoc justifications, and more specifically post hoc justifications specifically formulated to manipulate ignorant westerners. That terrorism has always existed. Those migrational conquests have always existed. They're ordered to by their faith and their faith holds these as examples of perfect moral behaviour. The only reason why there was a downtick during the late 19th and early 20th century was because the west advanced politically, technologically and militarily to the point where it caused a cultural shock in the islamic world (essentially since they're beleivers of the true faith, and behaving exactly as muhammad instructed, there was a cultural breakdown over why they were not the most advanced), but the muslim world has since overcome that and are back into their normal operating state.
Because due to the nebulous web that is international politics everyone ends up getting money and supplies from everyone else. Additionally there's the whole "nation building" concept where if one group seems better than the others you support them to try to get them into a dominant position so they run their country in a way that is best, but generally those groups are either deceiving their benefactors or get internally overthrown once they get a dominant position.
Also the US can't do anything but ignore the Saudis. Because the Saudis hold mecca they're kind of unassailable. You fight them and you have to go to war with the rest of the islamic world, even if the rest of the islamic world claims to hate them.
