Square knot, just tie it twice the exact same way.

I have a quick knot that I use whenever.

Have two loop handles next to eachother.
Put your right hand through the inside of the right loop and grab the left loop.
Put your left hand through the inside of the left loop and grab the right loop.
Pull both loops simultaneously.

History of the Thief Knot

Back in the day, sailors used this knot to catch thieves on ships.

It is said that the sailors would tie the clothesbag and breadbag with this knot.

If somebody untied the bag and retied it with the Square Knot, the switch would be obvious and the thief would be detected.

That’s not a square knot. You tie once one way and the second time the opposite way. Twice the same way slips under heavy load.

One day I'll be tying that wedding knot...
But today is not that day.

I just confuse it until it ties itself into a knot.

Good catch, that's why they call the way i described a slip knot.

I can tie some pretty artisanal nooses, it's the least practical information ever. I was just really sad as a teenager so now i've hands primed for the gallows. literally useless
