Does Anyone here actually use Steam Groups?

I am just Curious... I've looked around Steam groups and outside of the Official ones (Are they actually "Official?" Idk, but I'm talking about the ones with actual Valve Employees in them) they are almost all dead. I pretty much just use them as Decoration for my profile... in fact I created one just to use for my Group Showcase.

Anyway... I guess there's no Point when Discord does the same thing but Better... too bad I refuse to use Discord

I think some people do for matchmaking or co-op stuff, modding, etc.

Most I see are just jokes or places to put memes or whatever.

They are mostly remnants of old active groups.
People moved to other apps such as discord for group activities.

Technically yes, to find out new free-to-keep games, and get info about future / new niche games. + Steamdb statistics data.

Limited use, but most groups are dead. The groups that are active on Steam are for trading and hentai, which I don't use. Perhaps the ones that are dedicated to multiplayer games are more active, seems like a good way for guilds to plan stuff for their games.
