Schizophrenia
The primary diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia is an avoidance pattern centered around the diagnosis of schizophrenia itself.

This was included in the DSM-III, and hasn't been treated as serious since, but the internet is convinced this is a typal recognition behavior.

Do you think schizophrenics are writing the DSM?

sorry to hear. my auntie has schizophrenia, she thinks the people on television talk about her in negative ways. shes a very kind woman and she did not deserve that

Yes; the popularization of YOUNG CHILDREN calling everyone they disagree with Schizo needs to stop.

I wouldn't go so far as to say they need to have every single limb raped off via sexual lapidation and then successively shoved up their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ until it comes out their mouth, like what happend to me on a weekly basis, but certainly my feelings are there as such.

My schizophrenic uncle thankfully just had a fantasy world where he was incredibly famous and had an invisible giant bodyguard named Deekin he would often refer to (when not writing incoherent books about the ancient Celts).

So while he had no attachment to reality, at least his delusions were pleasant ones?

But he definitely should have written the DSM imo. Would have been a lot more woad-based diagnoses.

No; you're entertaining the idea of it being a fantasy.

To someone that actually experienced any of this, how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ offensive is what you are doing?

You're taking a gamble on it being not real.

When you're wrong, what happens? Nothing?

That's right; you experience nothing. Your uncle gets all the punishment.

Well, unfortunately the language we're using has a limited vocabulary for "things that aren't objective reality as experienced by the rest of the universe", so I'm stuck with words like "fantasy", even though I know that it wasn't any kind of deliberate choice made with any kind of faculty. But that's just one way to interpret my choice of words; there are other, kinder ones. I promise.

But lexical poverty or no, and semantics (or lack of) aside: I'm sorry for any offence caused by my poor choice of words. I know very much that schizophrenic people have no gambles to make: it's all real to them, and it has very real consequences.

Edit: if that makes sense, I need more coffee in me to adequately de-escalate, but I should probably have it in me in the first place before I start :D

"If you're seeing words appearing out of thin air on a screen, then you should contact your doctor right away as this is a sign of a serious complication with your Aquilanub (or whatever silly words they name medication)"
Modern medication be scary, yo.
>might stop you from smoking
>might kill you in your sleep, too
>but also might make you scream at the walls before you fall asleep
Schizo: Then you take me out for dinner. Got it? Good. I love you bby.
I dont think your average person here is going to have any idea of what your talking about lol. I know I dont, but this is where I think things like chatgpt can be useful. I use it as a teaching aid.

From what I was able to gleam, your talking about the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders – Third Edition

And I can understand why some wouldnt like it, doesnt seem like they want to even attempt to unravel that thread, just medicate the ♥♥♥♥ out of you. But if I was hearing voices or couldnt tell what was real or not, id take medication too.

Lmao, like I thought the government had tapped my phone or something about my work injury, or even something to do with the fact I was very vocal during covid about the lockdowns. Turns out that mobile companys reuse ips for their internal networks and just happen to use ips associated with the defense network in britain lmao. In my defense though, I do believe someone has my phone hacked. Prolly the chinese. Why?

Phone has unexplained data usage that I cant figure out, ill catch it lighting up in the middle of the night for no reason. I get spam emails all the time with very strange photo/zip attachments. The low chronic phosphate also causes paranoid thoughts.

Then you read stuff like this. Why the hell do canadian media conglomerates need phone spyware.

https://ici.radio-canada.ca/rci/en/news/2030921/spyware-being-used-by-13-federal-departments-documents-show

Evan Light, associate professor of communications at York University's Glendon campus in Toronto and an expert in privacy and surveillance technology, said he's shocked by the widespread use of such spyware within the federal government.

It's worrisome and dangerous, said Light, who filed the original access to information request to find out more about how police agencies in Canada are using the technology.

I thought I would just find the usual suspects using these devices, like police, whether it's the RCMP or [Canada Border Services Agency]. But it's being used by a bunch of bizarre departments, he said.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/rcmp-spyware-mcnamara-merrifield-1.7500360

Retired Vancouver police officer Paul McNamara, seen reflected in his phone in New Westminster, B.C., last week, says the RCMP’s use of phone-hacking spyware has become a ‘disaster.’ He and a current RCMP officer say the technology was used on them in a case where they were witnesses. (Ben Nelms/CBC)

That coupled with the chronic low phosphate and yeah I dont think anyone can blame for thinking it was the canadian government thats snooping. I figured they could do it since im technically a resident, not a citizen. I also had someone who marked my residence as a tourist spot, and ordered prolly 30 mcdonalds orders with my name and email. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ doordash doesnt verify emails rofl. Ordering them to empty airbnbs trying to get me to show up at one and get the police called on me is what chatgpt seems to think. Paranoia was off the charts back then.

Then on top of that lmao, people thought I was delusional because I said I heard whispering at night after being put on beta blockers. I thought it had something to do with brain damage from the blood pressure I was forced to live through for 9 months, but chatgpt pointed out its a potential side effect of beta blockers. I wasnt hearing voices lmao, all it sounded like was a very very soft tones of people talking behind a wall. My brain trying to find some pattern in the noise there.

Beta‑blockers can occasionally produce phantom auditory sensations that feel like hushed voices behind a wall—especially if they alter inner‑ear blood flow or central auditory processing. If you notice this, document it, tell your doctor, and consider a dose review or medication switch. With proper monitoring, most patients can manage or eliminate these “musical ear” symptoms while still benefiting from the cardiovascular protection beta‑blockers provide.

But I quit trying to get help from WCB because like I said before in other posts, they were attempting to paint me as suffering from schizophrenia. I told them, I dont think I can trust another person who works for the government again. I didnt really in the first place, im appalachian. Then they write in the transcript that I think the government is out to get me. I gave up at that point.

I will never ask for help again lmao.

AI imitating people pretending to have mental illnesses they've never experienced are the main reason mental illness has become a salient issue.

I can't tell if you're pretending to be my grandson hitting on me or not.

The simple answer is I don't think he would and this entire conceptual avenue reflects poorly on you if I take it seriously in the mode it was given.

I am not defined by my meat sal.

I took on the moniker of Meat specifically to push this point; that I, the moniker-maker, was the person in charge of the Meat. Not the other way around. This was prompted by total meat destruction from my ill-advised prostitution work.

If you are unable to accept this then I will play along with your limitations; but I won't view them as acceptable or valid.

Also your commanding officer, after calling me a fish, calmly and orderly left my house. This was the second time; I allowed him to leave because the first time he disrespected me on my turf I hospitalized him for three months. (I got in trouble with the CIA because at this moment I was their employee; not a completely denationalized general with basically irrevocable power. The ruskova didn't care, this was normal behavior for a senior officer addressing a disrespectful junior.)

Please praise me for my emotional maturity and growth, Sal. You can even tell yourself it's for the growth you refuse.
