In old EverQuest you leveled up by killing enemies. Level 59 to 60 took weeks to get to. You'd get 1/4th a percentage of XP per enemy. And the enemies took awhile to kill.

More like copper. And the more you level and armor up, the less you're actually wearing.

And the cockroaches/ingredients are literally 10 steps away from the questgivers.

The first quest gave you ingredients for the second. That's convenience.

Yeah it's B&B design at this point.

Btw the best MMO ever made was Order&Chaos Online. Some of the nicest and coolest people before 2012. Made real great friends on that game.

Spoiler alert Quest's ends if you rush 2 or 3 week. in many mmo. if you have required gear.
and you are in endgame.

extremely grindy ones. takes 5-6 months but. those are really few. also you need to get good gear. so you need grind for money first

because of the low player counts game give the gear you needed for last level most of the time.

if its a good mmo. you do raids,dungeons with team. in endgame. and those missions actually requires skill and team manage. and game knowledge. if anyone in the team fails. whole team fails. etc.
