Apparently they spent a lot of time together. I know Russians are really upset about this since they quoted him all the time.

the psuedonym his identity was based on is named Gnome Chompsky; his rhetoric is entirely drawn from Gnome's writings, and as he reached the limit of those writings he stopped 'producing' 'new' work.

generally speaking the actuality of the person hired to be him has done work to discredit Gnome themselves, in addition to hiding their legacy.

otherwise it's unsurprising. everyone knew he had predatory habits when they were screening him to be this controlled release identity. whether it's simply blackmail to keep a leash on an actor or a result of his preferences doesn't really matter much.
