It been normalized since atleast 90s if not longer.

kinda but not really, you don't have to play violent video games, just some of them have very fun mechanics
Nah, I still don't feel like I am actually massacring a village of orcs properly, when we get to the level of me being able to actually stick their heads on pikes, then maybe...

No, but LGBT related and feminist content has definitely become more common.

We have tv shows like dexter, how to get away with murder, or lucifer.

But dear god it must be the video games causing everyone to be violent. Lets ignore the fact as people get poorer, they become more desperate, with nothing to lose.

It should be come more common tbh. LGBTQ+ always existed but people weren't aware of it. I wish more video games would put that into their games because that's life and life like games are the best ones.

It's not just videogames. Recently there has been a glorification of violence going on (With shows like Invincible, The boys and such.

But you can't hear someone swear twice or a see a couple tits, you might get traumatized.

Not really. Back in my time this wasn’t present at all in media. The way it appears today is a recent cultural shift, not something that used to be this visible.
I believe that as most people get older, they tend to shy away from excessively violent games. Playing violent video games doesn't necessarily mean that the player wants to embody that behavior in real life. There is a threshold of realism beyond which extreme violence becomes repulsive; when it comes to graphic scenes, stylized, pixelated, or black-and-white graphics are always superior to hyper-realism.
Even a game like Hollow Knight Silksong can be pretty brutal despite not graphically showing it.
HellsWind 22. nov. kl. 6:16
No, life is just too mundane making anything within an interface look crazy and moving but it's really stationary and not as extreme as we collectively think, I think.

Straight from the heart.

just looking at Video games from the 90's, early 2000's where they kind of been pushing the bounderies, not just in visuals but in other department. But if you excludes gaming. But if we look at movies, there we can go further back, yes yes, i know with games there is the interaction part compared to movies where you just watch and listen, but just raising another media where violence/gore been part of it for years. Maybe i'm so used to the gore and not noticing it
