is it for art you create? or can any old thing be thrown up there ? been wondering that for awhile now

it is for art you create and some use it this way, but quite a few folk also pretty much just toss anything in there to be used as customisation for their profiles.

you wont be, at worst the artwork would just get taken down if it violated the guidelines in some way

Still not got any of mine taken down, even the one that uses elements of game covers XD

and I tend to stick random things I fling together in my artwork section.

Very few people make actual art on steam.

Most of it is AI generated now.

i don't make art but i do use ai to alter my images ! thats it!

It’s there if you wanna post works that aren’t gaming related (mostly). But for me I usually like to post works and cosplays of myself there.
