I think Megaman movies would be harder to make, idk.
Sonic is aimed more at kids, it was easy.
Cause... there's lots of blue bombers to choose from.
...Also didn't they made a Mega Man movie from the Battle Network series?
Forgive me due to my memory on this is very dusty...
But from what I can remember from my mind I think they were exclusive to Japan as I don't recall them being ever? Released for worldwide.
There was that fan film but... that doesn't count due to it being a fan film.
And there was? A short? film for the original Megaman about him crossing from the TV/Video game world to stop Dr Wily also only released for Japan.
They exist I think but I can't remember on what they are exactly.
You can look up the wiki to clarify what I typed on this comment.
...It's just that Mega Man fans are almost like F-Zero Fans at this point and almost feel the same way as Metroid Fans.
Except that Metroid is getting new games again after... a really long time.
And the Mega Man franchise is still gathering dust and only ever gets a new game whenever Capcom decides to release something for it's anniversary.
But Capcom is focusing on Resident Evil now and that franchise has it's own set of movies... but I haven't watched them and I think they were the catalyst on why Resident Evil suddenly have it's action over horror aspect for a time.
Things changed now but... the last time the blue bomber ever had any major attention that wasn't Mega Man 11 to my knowledge is with the Archie Comics and that crossover with Sonic the Hedgehog.
I can understand the need to see the Blue Bomber back in action again.
But I lean heavily towards the X series rather than the classic blue bomber... cause I like Mega Man X more than the original Mega Man himself.
...Also last time I played a Mega Man game was that Gacha Game that got shut down but was fortunate enough to have a offline version for preservation purposes... unfortunately I don't have a controller and I can't play it.
But that is a story and topic for another time.
Cause I'm waiting for the modding scene for offline to have something good to give me a reason to replay it as it was bite sized Mega Man X.
Also X Dive has given the Mega Man franchise it's own "Ara Ara" character and it made me realize once you hear those words you cannot escape from it. Cause nowhere is safe.
we need some movies of it though! i really enjoy the world honestly and there is so much there that has potential, come on capcom!

I spent countless hours looking at the information about a series I like.
As you do when you like something obviously... but franchise's fate is left unknown at this point and it is best to move on and remember the good times until something good comes out of it.
Personally I would like to see a movie or series that takes place in the X series where it shows two perspectives of our beloved X on how he does his usual maverick hunter duties along with interacting with regular humans (Like in the Archie Comics) and Axl the character that failed but is the most interesting out of the trio of Maverick Hunters...
Cause X and Zero were made by Dr Light and Dr Wahwee respectively.
Axl... is a special case as he's a reploid that wasn't created by an esteemed scientist but rather an unknown person of origin.
...And is the only reploid of the trio that actually experienced the more casual side of a world where humans exist with robots that act like humans but are treated as tools rather than equals- man could you imagine Sigma being a politician rather than a genocidal maniac?
Anyway Axl is chill cause he experienced the world before and it made me wonder what is it like to live in that world... as a reploid.
Plus it would be awesome to go back in forth between him and X as the story revolves around one of the X games before X7.
Personally I would go with Xtreme 2 for a movie setting cause reploid's souls being taken and X fighting his past enemies and learning about what a soul is while a side plot of how Zero and Iris meet and how they became a love couple sounds interesting... while Axl is on the more civilian side of the conflict which lead up to him meeting Red to take manners to their own hands due to the Maverick Hunters are too busy fighting up front they're ignorant to realize the enemy is also inside their walls.
Cause I know for a fact that some people out there will go nuts for a witch robot waifu as a villain and a knight robot until Sigma like a bigot comes swooping in as the final boss...
Or maybe for this case don't have him be the final enemy for the X side of the movie's story but rather as a mysterious figure on Axl's side of the story as Axl won't recognize who Sigma is due to... X7 hasn't happened yet and Axl's side of this movie is supposed to show the more life with reploids side of the world rather than the fighting from the games.
Hell you could even add a moment where Sigma tries to spread his virus to Axl and through sheer will and determination after a series of inner struggles in his mind he breaks control from it leading to Sigma being interested on how his virus did not work on a reploid this time and also gets an idea for the events of X5 to spread it on mass in the future.
I'm not an experienced writer nor I will be anytime soon but I do get a grasp on what a Mega Man movie plot would be like.
Cause you go to the classic Mega Man games and... you realize there isn't a lot to work on unless you're planning to make a film or series about the Archie Comics cause the games... don't got a lot of meat in terms of story.
Plus the idea of Iceman suddenly going from split personality to lovestruck loser sounds both funny and sad if it were to happen while Cutman gone from a good boy to a rowdy teenager sounds like a nightmare for any parent.
...Believe me if I didn't like Mega Man at all I wouldn't be here thinking and discussing about potential movie or series plots for a franchise that is considered abandoned or left in a supposedly and probably eternal hiatus.
Please no.
Unless you get Johnny Yong Bosch reprising his role as Zero then maybe.
Yuri Lowenthal can play as Green Biker Dude 2.
NO THIS IS ISNT HAPPENING
THERE IS NO REASON FOR ME TO GO ON
WUH... WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOAAURRGH!?
