I am learning so much that it is making me heavier. There is so much knowledge in there that it is starting to weigh me down.
But, I learned over time that it isn't healthy to monitor one's portfolio too much. It's like pulling a plant out of the pot too often. It's better to let it do it's thing for long stretches.
See, a true investor has very long horizons and does not make rash and panic moves on the latest highs and lows. Many even practice capitalism in reverse by being a headline follower.
They buy into rallies and pay top $$ and then panic sell on the lows and lose their ***.
No, many investors really are little more than gamblers. If I wanted to do that, I could go to The Strip and at least do it in a palace. Maybe the cocktail waitress has one of those hot waitress builds. Maybe one of those kinda medium thick builds that looks really good in those tight uniforms and she has that hot waitress walk. Perhaps she might have guy needs and the other guys just aren't doing it for her. Everyone has needs.
No, I haven't actively managed my holding for years. If I need money, I just call up my broker and he sends me whatever I need.
