For some good smelling humid air.
"Life hack #78,907,209,182....":

Add about 1 tablespoon of caramel extract to 1/2 gallon water in one humidifier, and add some strawberry &/or cherry extract to a 2nd humidifier, and run them in your room for a couple hours....

ohhhhh myyyyyyy, the sweet yummy SMELL makes you wanna eat the air!
And it keeps your room not dry too :steamhappy:

One time I left a cinnamon spice candle lit, woke up the next morning and vomited from the sickening smell. Guess it was overindulgence.

If I wanna eat the air, I'll just put a pan of bacon in the oven.

Then I'll eat the bacon. :amadeus_happy:

Adding sugars long term might not be such a good idea.

In fact, your water should be as solid free as possible. It should be both softened and reverse osmosised.

The water is RO UV-sterilized, and the natural extracts are "sugar free" (only glycerin, acting as a humectant).

lol, hopefully not..
I do thoroughly clean out the humidifiers about every 2 to 3 uses.
I haven't noticed any nasty stuff so far.

I heard that adding a little bit of xylitol to a humidifier solution can inhibit bacterial growth, idk if it works in humidifiers, but xylitol is known to kill bad breath, prevent gum disease, and will kill dogs :steamsad: So don't use xylitol near dogs! I don't have dogs so it should be alright.

I find the scents of cinnamon and orange among the most pleasant. I'm also fond of herbal and neutral fragrances, such as green tea and aloe. However, I dislike scents that are cloying, overly sweet, or harsh. For example, there's one here that smells like burnt strawberries to me, and it's a scent that can easily make me feel ill.

Ya, I like cinnamon with orange too.
I add a little Ceylon cinnamon to an orange flavored green tea mix + a little bit of raw honey.
It's a nice mix, tastes really good!
