GP's in the UK get 6 figures a year and I'm not even sure what they do anymore. They don't go to work and they don't see patients. Any medical care is done by nurses now.

A lot of people who say that are pretty well off in a nice suburban neighbourhood people will kill to live in. It's so weird.

if you mean it less litteral..you just lower the income gap.
it depends how strict it is done what the effect is..

if you merely limit the gap between the richest person in the nation and the poorest in yearly income x10 and in wealth x100 and tax away when you get above that... I think thats good for a society...

but if the gap gets too small than i see it being detrimental for than you start to feel that working no longer is rewarded...

so fairness both demands a wealth gap existing.. but also it not being to unreasonable bit.
and in many developed nations the wealthgap is now way way to large..
it used to be the labourer in the factory ate ground beaf.. while the director and mayor lived in the same city in a house about 2x the size and could eat steak... the income gap was about 7 times between the owner and lowest paid employee in early industrial time..

however today besos and his lowest paid employee thats gap of millions times the difference.. and thats just not good for a society..
