The joke is gotten halfway through the video.
How much of the carbs is "added sugar"? (listed under the carbs)
That's crazy and also impossible... carbs maybe not sugar
Might not be the bread that's so sugary. It might be the doughnut that's particularly low in sugar. Maybe it's an old fashioned rather than one with icing, glazing or confectioner's sugar. Maybe it's a mini-doughnut.
Krispy Kreme chocolate iced doughnuts have 20 grams of sugar per doughnut[images.kktestkitchen.com], but their mini iced doughnuts are only half the amount of doughnut as the full sized one[s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com].
I can't find an old fashioned on Krispy Kreme's menu, but Dunkin' Donuts[www.dunkindonuts.com] old fashioned only has 10 grams of sugar, whereas the strawberry frosted with sprinikles has 15 grams of sugar.
Amazon's listing for Wonder Bread Classic White Sandwich Bread[us.amazon.com] is 5 grams of sugar per slice[m.media-amazon.com], so three slice
As for everybody claiming it's American bread, nope. Wonder Bread only has 5 grams of sugar per 2 slice serving[m.media-amazon.com], which means you need at least four slices for the least sugary doughnuts I listed.
Meanwhile Orowheat Whole Wheat bread only has 2 grams of sugar per slice[smartlabel-bbu.scanbuy.com], meaning you'd need at least five.
Dave's Killer Bread comes close because it has 3 grams of sugar per slice[delivery.mothersmarket.com], but it still falls one gram short, and again, that is for a doughnut that for some reason is particularly low in sugar.
OP did say “glazed” & didn’t specify it as mini. I’m guessing that the bread may have added sugars. It could also have another sweetener like honey to make it sweeter in taste.
Most likely not a whole grain bread.
Rye bread is very healthy, contains B vitamins.
Rye bread contains a large amount of fiber, a wide variety of bioactive compounds, and a small amount of fat. Compared to some breads such as white bread, rye bread has a lower glycemic index, which means it causes a slower increase in blood sugar than white bread after being eaten.
It will only make you fat and cause inflammation in the body, especially bad if you have asthma.
Start eating rye bread instead of white and your health will significantly improve.
