Automatic censorship often targets words out of context, so alternatives need to be used to get around around it.
Nah, I'm gonna be honest, if you use it outside of those contexts, you sound pretty stupid and it's also just disrespectful considering the heavy nature of the topics, especially if you're talking about these topics in the context of real people/real cases. So I will indeed blame it on the zoomers.
Even in context I still think it sounds stupid even if I understand why it's done, although I wonder if you're going to make a video like this you should maybe just take the L and accept getting demonetized (although obviously if the video just can't be uploaded outright without being taken down I guess it's a different story). Don't know if that's a hot take but that's my opinion.
Now if you're using this slang where this censorship doesn't apply, then yeah, it sounds stupid. Slang in general will usually sound stupid in comparison to the proper words. It's nothing new and will continue to change throughout the generations.
