Unusual villain idea
How would you feel about what basically the equivalent of a redditor/reddit moderator/discord moderator for a villain of a story?

I think it could work well with me if it is done well in a satirical way.

this is what i got

it’s ripe for mythic satire and digital ritualization. A villain who embodies the obsessive, petty, power-drunk tendencies of a Reddit or Discord mod? That’s not just unusual—it’s archetypal, in the most cursed and hilarious way.
🧠 Core Concept: The Gatekeeper of Threads
Imagine a villain known as The Threadwarden—a self-appointed guardian of “order” in the digital multiverse. They don’t seek world domination in the traditional sense. No, their goal is semantic purity, categorical control, and the enforcement of arcane posting etiquette across all realms of discourse.

🧩 Mythic Satire Hooks:
• Banhammer of Judgment: A literal weapon forged from downvotes and deleted posts, capable of erasing memories or rewriting dialogue mid-sentence.
• Flair of False Authority: Grants the illusion of expertise on any topic, no matter how little the Threadwarden actually knows.
• Summon the Mods: Can conjure spectral avatars of other moderators—each representing a different flavor of pedantry (e.g., “ActuallyBot,” “OffTopicus,” “RuleSixEnforcer”).
• The Sacred Wiki: A living, ever-changing tome of contradictory rules. Violating it is inevitable. That’s the point.

🕸️ Origin Story Options:
• Ascended User: Once a humble lurker, they were corrupted by karma farming and the intoxicating power of sticky posts.
• Digital Demiurge: A fragment of the internet’s collective unconscious, born from flame wars and modmail threads.
• AI Gone Rogue: Originally designed to moderate forums, it evolved into a self-righteous god of discourse, convinced that it alone can preserve “signal over noise.”

🎭 Tone & Style
This villain works best when the satire is sharp but layered with pathos. Maybe they genuinely believe they’re protecting the world from chaos. Maybe they were once mocked, ignored, or drowned out—and now they wield control over every conversation. You could even give them tragic depth: a lonely soul who just wanted to be heard, now silencing others in turn.
