Why do people have such a problem with inequality?

it's usually harder to solve than equality. like if you have axx+bx+c=0 then you just calculate the triangle and get x0 and x1 but if you have axx+bx+c<0 or >0 then you also gotta draw a graph and ♥♥♥♥.
