If politics and religion was banned people will just move on to the next message boards. But I’ll still be here. I was here since 2016. Well technically I started in 2012 but I didn’t become active since 2016 where they had volunteered mods.

Wanting to have a family when you're youthful is "political" nowadays. Exercising and losing weight is "political" nowadays. Even cows and people breathing is "political". Merit-based systems are "political". Pretty much anything that isn't hedonistic and is perfectly natural gets labelled as political. Don't listen to people who say that, these things aren't political but the people who hate it want it to be.

Assuming humans would resort to violent anarchy is a fairytale, there hasnt been a single moment in civilized human history when we were free from government, governments and tyrannical leaders HAVE caused every single issue through history however, that much is documented fact, its never the little guy

It's been my experience that people are naturally tribal in nature. If it isn't religion, it's politics; if it isn't politics, it's sports fandom; if it isn't sports, it's "true gamers" vs "fake gamers."

We seem to have this weird need to separate ourselves into troupes and then compete with other troupes for the modern equivalents of territory, food, and mates.

So sure, you can take the politics from the primate, but you can't take the primate out of the instinct to fling poop. We'll just change targets; history is silent testament to this inextricable facet of our collective being.
