No. If I wanted communism, I'd go to China. It's a lot more developed country with the same features. Plus you have electricity, running water etc. I don't move to any of these though.

If you stick to the major cities, you should be fine. If you start to go into less populated areas it becomes versions of the deep south in the US.

I lived in Ukraine about 10 years ago and it's the same deal. if you venture away from the main population hubs, they might "not like you around dem parts" and it becomes more like Slavic deliverance.

also if you're planning to move to a new country, make sure you know someone there because it can get depressing if you are there by yourself and have no social outreach especially if it's a different language and the culture is different from what you're used to.
