Aside from the drugs, you could exercise. There are some things that work well for some people, but if it is really bad then you should talk with your doctor.

* Otherwise do a google image search for examples and explanations on how to use one
Any CBT/DBT therapist worth their salt will give you one of these, sometimes their own variation. Generally you're going to write down what's going on, in your head, what emotions you're feeling, and then look at alternative views or points... it's something that gets easier over time to where you'll be able to capture paranoia/depression.
One of those, "You gotta put in the work" things. Though if marijuana helped take the edge off, and you can't do it now... why not CBD?
Staying active.
Sometimes you do need to have that relax period but generally keep active.
Get a routine.
Learn to breathe deeply - take some time to pause and breathe if anything feels edgy.
Gardening / tending some plants.
Exercise - stay active. No need to blow yourself out but occasionally you can really give yourself the push above the normal exercise procedures.
Focus on something good and don't let other things taint it.
Art, you don't have to be 'good' just learn to sketch it can be as rough as you like its your interpretation and practice it. Will get you in that 'active' zone. like take a pad and pen out with you. youtube and sites dedicated to sketching roughly and quickly for some pointers.
Mescaline also helps I heard.
In a more broad sense with society overall, it'd help if they made weed legal in all 50 states, and in addition decriminalized ALL drugs. For that matter decriminalize all drug use in all countries everywhere.
The war on drugs is not even about drugs. It's about economic control over South and Central American nations etc. And about the police needing more to do and securing their funding and incarcerating more people, meanwhile more rapists and murderers will roam free while so many of them are busy executing their "war on drugs" i.e. war on personal freedom.
Many police agencies and departments could be defunded but still solve more crimes that actually matter and aren't just societal control and domestic police terrorism.
For instance removing things you enjoy from your life to combat depression sounds like a terrible idea.
Just shake it off, bro.
No one has ever died from marijuana abstinence.
Light exercise is the best you can do.
Take walks, play some football (or handegg if you like that), ping-pong, w/e.
Your life isn't over, you are just used to the couch.
