I'd say something like heroes of might and magic dark Messiah or edge. This isn't a hidden gems thread but a thread for good well received games that people never talk about anymore.

Good old days... Still love my necropolis back in heroes 3.

I guess Monkey island series. Because part 4-5 just kinda ruined the magic.

super mario all stars with mario world on a single cart......the SNES was the best system......

Red Faction : Guerilla. Basically a mid-budget GTA on Mars, with destructible environments. It was insanely fun.

And the music was pretty fire. The final assault on Mt Olympus comes to mind :
