Why are only men expected to fight? Where’s equality now?

I thought we lived in a society where men and women were equal.
Yet when war or conscription is mentioned, suddenly only men are expected to fight and die.

Movies and games constantly show “strong female warriors,” but in reality the burden still falls on men.

Isn’t that a contradiction? If equality is real, shouldn’t responsibility be shared too?

Men use strength and women use trickery to succeed. It evens out in life but not on the battlefield.

While I do acknowledge men have an advantage on strenght and all that jazz. Being buff doesn't make you immune to bullets. And last time I checked, firearms are not gender locked.

There's a reason why all the sane countries got rid of conscription.

If you still live in one that has it, I would suggest moving to a more civilized place.

Heh, being a soldier is more then having bullets.

Are modern Western militaries not sending female soldiers to die like men yet? If not, then they should be, otherwise it is wasted resources.

For years the ‘strongman’ has been mocked, called creepy, masculinist, a harasser and now suddenly we’re being told to prepare to fight. Protect whom, exactly, and what values?

Must we die for the very society that despises us and will later erase our deeds, replacing them with female actors in the stories?

At least our ancestors had something real to fight for, honor, family, faith. Men were respected then.
Now? There’s nothing left worth dying for. Honestly, I’d rather leave the next war to the ones who claim equality.

It's biology. A man can easily make 1000 children, a woman only 20 or so.
So the loss of a man in war is much less of a reproductive loss, than the loss of a woman.

Because regardless of the declarations, at home there's still a patriarchal society that is ruled by politicians and the rich. They will send men to death and after those fathers and brothers are killed they will have less trouble having their way with the women and children. It's 2025, we are living in a cannibalistic dystopia now.
