Russia is almost done
This is a reply to an existing post in the discussions.

A person with a hidden profile wants to explain to others that the largest country (by area) that declared that the war could last for days, then two months... two years... and so on, having a significant advantage in population, gained control over a small town or village, declaring the impossibility of what? Every day I read posts on Reddit about something being blocked in russia, that people are being disconnected from the Internet, that they are being forced to install programs in order to go to school or college, to receive other services... and you call this a victory? Was the invasion of Ukraine worth it? Your president has been in power for 25 years and every term he invents a new enemy to stay in office... are you russians so blind to see this? I have never had a problem using russian in communication or choosing it as a language in the game, it's a pity that it all happened like this, by the decision of one person...

Yeah, that whole entire mess is exactly why the sort of dumb wars would be fought by them; and most of the mess is cultural.
There are good things they push, but it is almost universally the culture that's messed up.
As for the armed forces being the only way the impoverished can get any job: that's one of the same stunts the Hannoverians did regarding Ireland; study history. So that's really all those soldiers are: mere slaves forced to fight... kind of worthless as far as how to wage any war.

no, they see it. and they willingly, actively support it. and the few who do not are very brave souls indeed, because sadly they are arrested very quickly and never seen again.

Well Putin isn't exactly the kind of person you say 'no' to. Anyone who is a political threat just seems to fall out of a window.

Then a not insignificant amount of the population is in absolute poverty, and the army is the only job they can get. So they choose being able to eat, over any moral implications.

The fact that 40% of Russians use a VPN suggests that they're not blind though. They just don't really have the resources to do much about it.

Russia gonna Russia.

"Rus! Rus! I see you...
From afar I behold you, a swift troika, rushing headlong, like a bird!
Who is it that invented you?
Only you could have sprung from such a land-
you cannot be measured with the mind, you cannot be understood with ordinary reason.
Rus, where are you flying? Give answer!
There is no answer.
The horses run like the wind... and the road flashes beneath you."

Yeah, that too, so that's human nature for you: we really are almost all messed up as a species, wherever you go!
Say what you will of Putin, he did get *this* one right: about a half-century before the lewd movements hit the western world, his own nation pushed that sort of stuff on its own people!

*That* could well be the nature of the role of Russia: a kind of individual or faction who tells you to take a lesson from their own idiocy, and to NOT do as they did!

That's one stance similar to one of their poets; regarding a runaway sleigh being the analogy for his country.

Is Putin dead all of a sudden? If no, then they are far from finished.

He needs to be removed from power for this to happen.

"Russia didn't achieve their goals in 3 days like Western media said so they're 'done.'"

Sure, OK. Seems like there's still an awful lot of fighting and unwillingness to peace-out on both sides for anything to be done-done.

In my opinion, they became hostages to their image... the image of a bad guy, a bad guy who was bullied and therefore became a bad guy...

It's complicated. Russia is a hard land and produces hard people. Russia is what was left after everyone took all the nice places to inhabit. Maybe I should say Defend. They do have some nice farmland.

The people should rule the government, not the government rule its people. Changing a tyrant to another tyrant will not change anything. There must be a turning point in the mentality of the citizens themselves. The realization that they themselves must indicate what they want
