Fan4tics
or Kurt?
Wait. . . . Kurt is in the same universe as Fan4tics.

its my favourite film of all time! to me it still has the greatest practical special effects of any film ever made.
do you mean this cute ball of stones?
hopefully not lol. the only way i want it is if they promise to be using practical special effects like animatronics, puppetry and claymation. the pish prequel film they made actually began development like this, but cgi monsters are cheaper and easier, so they went that route.
at least mary elizabeth winstead was cute
If you have ever watched the deleted scenes for that prequel the practical effects somehow looked worse than the CGI they ended up using (which I assume is why they went for the CGI in the end).
even if it looked awful i probably would have respected it more. cgi can genuinely be beautiful and does take hard work, like davy jones in the POTC films, but 9 times of 10 i prefer practical effects.
Did you know the comedy movie Airplane! was a remake of a serious dramatic film called Zero Hour! from 1957. It's almost a shot for shot remake.
