I think for most men, a genuine compliment goes a long way, because so few men receive them. My ex wife used to hide little notes in different places and would be genuinely thankful and appreciate the things I would do for her. Little things like back/foot rubs went a long way with me too. That’s honestly really touching — sounds like she cared beyond the job, and that kind of connection can make such a huge difference. I’m glad you had that support :)

aye. it is dramatic to be saying, but i am unsure if i would still be alive if not for her help and teachings. we connected over a mutual love of horror films and the genre, so it really was a "lightning strike" kind of friendship. a lot of my therapy sessions with her were mostly fun talk, which was on purpose i later learned.

her going beyond her duties is incredible to me. some humans are too good for this earth, at times.

I worked all my life at pubs and bars. There were female customers with a crush on me on my younger days but would always play games. One day I was waiting for this girl to give me her order and she said "Give me " I was surprised by how straightforward she was and still think about her from time to time. She wasn't a bad lay either.

A girl got me a cake for my bday once and beer, it was her and her brothers idea but i still remember her being excited to give it to me lol They were both very sweet and kind people <3
