Leprosy is cured with antibiotics. It stopped being a big deal a long time ago. Along with plague.

please specify which plague, because the most infamous plague in history was a bacterial infection spread by flea bites

Short story: the plague is a HIV virus.

Plague is caused by Yersinia Pestis, a bacteria. Leprosy is caused by Mycobacterium leprae, also a bacteria. Wide spectrum antibiotics tend to take care of either which is why you haven't had outbreaks in over 100 years.

Antibiotics kills bacteria infections.

The mushroom infections inside cows are treated with antibiotics. But the bacteria evolves where the strongest bacteria becomes resistant. Which is why some scientists suggest we should infect the population to lower the resistance to antibiotica by having bee-bacteria fighting the anti-biotic bacteria.

Then we call it vaccine.

And how was the plague cured?

It wasn't. The body was adapted to stop killing the plague and the cure became lowered resistance to diseases.

Then antibiotica is used to cure the diseases caused by the hidden plague.

So if you claim that the plague is gone. AIDS AND HIV is the plague. But we have managed it to be less spreading or affecting the infected.

Children are born with the plague. So it is not like sniffing on a flower and taking a cure since the infection is there before you're even born.

there was a short lived outbreak of Bubonic in California in 2021 or 2022. mostly because of the filthy streets of San Francisco

Fun fact: Armadillos are the largest carrier of leprosy in North America.
