I think money is enough of a settlement. Cheaters are immoral, but the territory of conviction is muddied and complicated.

edit: Okay, I inferred that you were talking about romantic partners cheating, but this could also mean any other form of cheating. I think my point generally applies though.

Well all the guys will be getting huge fines. Except me I don't cheat on my girlfriends. As I only do one night stands so I never see the same girl twice.

Considering that many people consider emotional and psychological abuse as even worse than physical, I'm surprised that cheaters get barely if any repercussions. A lot of cheaters drive their exes to end their lives.

If you are talking about video game cheaters, I think only if they cheat in a competition.

there is something to be said here. i think that if you got a woman pregnant and then cheat on her, you should probably do some amount of time behind bars, because you're ruining your kid's life by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the mental state of their mother (possibly up to suicide)

i think if you have kids with someone, or have been together for like more than a year, or are married, or the person who got cheated on became super depressed -- the cheater should go to jail.
