anyway to op, the horror rpgs fear & hunger 1 and 2 are rife with cannibalism, including allowing the player to engage in it (including eating yourself). the setting is not apocalyptic, but it is very isolated feeling.

the games "the forest" and its sequel "sons of the forest" also both centre around cannibals and cannibalism. but again, are not apocalyptic in setting.

Yeah, read that and almost all of King’s work. Never Flinch is in my eyeline. Not read it yet. Was looking on Netflix earlier for new releases and Mr Mercedes is on there 14 November.

Ramble: I’ve been playing Metro 2033 and I like the solitary parts, finding things, objective gameplay. There’s a Stalker vibe. But what if you didn’t know that nobody was around? Creepy. And there was no food, but you had to get to Z to trigger an SOS to get off the planet. You eat you. But where would you start and the medical side? There probably is a game like this on Steam.

are there any survival games where you're forced to eat yourself? I'm going to guess no.

If you use some Minecraft mods you can get exactly what you want

Best of luck tho in finding those games! That is a very specific niche.

You know... this isn't a bad idea. Somehow you get trapped somewhere with no way to escape & no food so you have to start by choosing a limb to cut off.

Do you choose one of the legs and make it difficult to get around or escape dangers/traps, or your arm and gimp yourself from using multiple tools? Do you start by cutting off just a foot so that your food doesn't spoil/rot too fast?

Watch the Canadian TV Series Lexx. Look for the episode 'Eating Pattern'. Closest I can think of.
