In terms of hardware, Valve's "design language" has been black since they started making it. I guess it is because black hardware fits in more living rooms and offices than bright orange hardware.

I don't know what the story of the new game will be like but I hope Russell isn't in the script. They should also find a new voice actor for Alyx. The actor in the VR game wasn't very good.

If Valve is serious about kicking off a gaming console, they'd have to do something big to go with it. So, it's a possibility.
