Revolutions are inevitable
No society has ever served the masses and so rebellion is a natural reaction to those in power, greed will always overcome the elite and war and rebellion will come for them, the more you believe your life has more worth than those beneath you the more they will come to hate you and given time they will erase you. this is the way of this world and nothing will ever change it. you have no control.

There were some anarchist experiments though - it´s just that others would conquer them, because they´re weaker. So people came to the conclusion that it doesn´t work.

The Chinese also had good ideas with their school system, parts of which were adapted by most others. Like they would want only the best people for their government, and everyone should have access to it, while in the West education (or rather higher education) was restricted to wealthy people. I guess every country, except the aristocratic states of america, have adapted this approach that education shouldn´t be connected to wealth.

Of course a single person can´t have control over a society. But i´m unsure why that would need to be. It´s enough to be in control of the own life. More or less.

Also if one thinks that anybody is above or beneath - one has already failed. Sadly too many people think that they´re beneath - while the same people would talk as if they were above outside of certain hierarchies. I don´t think it´s unhealthy to care about the own life though, as in value it higher than the life of a random other person, who in return could think the same - which leads to the conclusion that only equal rights make sense.
