On a more serious note, they will start (or rather, should) on the weekend before Christmas, and last until Jan 1st.

The Steam Winter Sale normally starts about a week before Christmas. Rumor is the start date for 2013 will be Thursday, Dec 17.

Just keep checking back. They don't "sell out" of anything, so don't worry about it.

I saw on a website that it estimated around the 19th. Personally I think it will start the 20th.

The fall and winter sales dates were leaked online months ago. The fall sale date was right on time. The winter sale was reported to be on the 19th. Leveling up grants you snow globe cards instead of coupons so we are getting close.

I think it will start today (19th). The weekly deal usually ends Monday but it doesn't this week, it ends Thursday. This usually means a sale.
