virtual reality devices suck

the next evolution of gaming is a new platform

a device that goes on your head or even inside like NeuraLink. the "game" is basically whatever you want.

the device tricks all your senses by activating synapses/nerves e.t.c into thinking you are experiencing an environment and situation that does not exist.

it will come with an Psychosis squelcher to stop you going mad and operating a buffer

you can think of it of a mix between Cyperpunk braindance and the movie Strange Days device (which records the memory of a person whos wearing the device at the time and allows replay)

have you ever wanted to become a cat in medieval middle england? you sneak around the basement cellar attacking spooders and you can smell the kegs of ale fermenting

What a coincidence wanted to comment about Neuromancer,

Also, coincidentally I came to talk about Neuromancer too! Quite often in books like Neuromancer and other Cyberpunk stuff people confuse cyberspace for VR. But it's more like something that OP describes. Your consciousness goes into cyberspace. That's also why a hacker (console cowboy/netrunner) in cyberspace can die if they are caught by ICE (lol .. not the American ICE, Intrusion Countermeasure Electronics, aka a firewall/anti virus)
