Canada apologizes to President Trump
Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney has apologized to President Donald Trump for an ad criticizing his tariff policies.

When speaking to reporters Saturday after the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Gyeongju, South Korea, Carney admitted he had told Trump he was sorry, NBC News reported.

“I did apologize,” Carney stated.

Carney is a typical woke liberal, he approved the ad and when it backfired he apologizes, but only after the damage has been done. Don't accept the apology and hit them with the added 10% tariff and keep it until they stop charging up to 150% tariffs on American goods.

Reciprocal Tariffs are long overdue, there is nothing complicated about that. Canada's economy cannot function without large one-sided tariffs, something has to be done.

Thought last years trade deficit was unfair? Lol

Cant wait to see next years.

Most of the damage has already been done here. Enjoy your taxes.

You are aware that they aren't actually Reciprocal Tariffs...

Most of those countries affected by Trump Tariffs had originally 0% tariffs upon American imports. There was even a place which had zero humans and just a bunch of penguins instead!

Trump's so-called "Reciprocal" Tariffs aren't Reciprocal at all, but rather an AI miscalculation of trade in-balance. For example: A small country exports a ton of their minerals and diamonds to America but doesn't import much back, because either they don't need it or can't afford it... get hit with a whopping 25% Trump Tariff or so...

You are worshipping some stupid AI generated stuff right there, which lacks all sense of empathy and morals, plus doesn't know what a Reciprocal Tariff even is and got that wrong. Lmao!

Congratz, you just cut off your best trade deals from around the world. Enjoy your soon to become American Depression. The real question is will Trump claim Joe Biden is running it or not like he did back in 2020. Does MAGA cult logic even exist? Trump claiming Joe Biden assigned FBI Agents for his Jan 6th US Capital riot while he wasn't even president at the time was quite a laugh.

You also watched the youtuber Perun's video on the topic? :D

I remember something in that video about the math for the tariff, and it had something like a 1 / 4 thing which was just a arbitrarily number with no basis other than to make it simpler? :/

I looked into it myself and it made zero logical sense till you asked 3 different AIs to generate it for you... which all returned the same illogical mistake. The fact humans didn't double check it themselves before applying it is what really entertains me. Utter slaves. Your Trumpism cult got mislead by AI twice now, once for DOGE calculations and against by Trump Tariff calculations... all done by AI who could care less about you and both caused a massive lost. Both utter failure, but still nothing to learn there from the cult.

god do I love a good cult...

So sozzy eh? You got screwed eh? Better ask AI eh? Oh even ChatGPT says Trump Tariffs are most likely AI generated eh?

You appear to be quite obsessed with Trump.
How many posts have you made about Trump?
How many threads have you made about Trump?
If I type "Trump" into your word history, how many times have you typed out and posted his name?

How many years have you been doing this?

It's an extremely stupid situation. Reagan really did speak up against tariffs and was a proponent of free trade with Canada, so Canada doesn't really have anything for which to apologize.

Trump is acting silly by calling attention to the advertisement in the first place, and if he was going to do so, he should have used the opportunity to explain why Reagan's words do not pan out in the current political climate. Simply put, the attempt at retaliation Reagan warned about came and seemingly went, with Trump negotiating new trade deals he liked, and more importantly, the shrink, collapse and shutdown of American industries is already decades past, perhaps because protectionist policies weren't implemented when necessary, so the U.S.A. doesn't have to worry about that so much about that now. Insofar as international markets go, the U.S.A. already lost its manufacturing arm, so any attempt at retaliation is basically stabbing at a phantom limb. In that very same Radio address, Reagan explained why he had to implement tariffs against Japanese semiconductors even though he was loathe to have to do so, and this statement was just explaining why he would rather not.

However, if Canada is going to apologize, then Carney isn't even the one who ran the ad to my understanding, so it needs to be Doug Ford apologizing. This is more like a mother apologizing for her child's bratiness.

In any case, I think Carney also doesn't have the strength to stand up to Trump that he projected during the election season. Canada should've probably elected Pierre, but I guess they don't understand that the right wing isn't just one big happy family that gets along with itself all of the time.

Of course, the smart thing about Carney's "apology" is that it brings the advertisement to the attention of more Americans than would've been possible from Canadian broadcasting stations. I think Trump's best move would have been to just ignore it, let it pass, and let the results of his policies speak for themselves. I guess Trump isn't known for playing it cool though.
