2. Remind them that their actions will have repurccusions on everyone.
3. This could be for attention(the worst way to get it). Do they have any romantic interest in you?
4. Defriend(but perhaps use the follow feature so you at least know whats going on)

You've already done the right thing by giving them the number, they just need to call. If they refuse to help themselves then their family must step in as soon as possible.

1.) I'd spoken to them for over a year and i remember them being sad in the past so It's the same person .
2.) I did that for like 4 hours .
3.) I hope this isn't the case I'd be pissed . No ... we've never met in person and they've never seen me before . them loving me would be impossible.
4.) Defriending them sounds horrible .

I don't even think the family knows . They said " mom will be happy now she has a new son and now she can enjoy her life. " I asked if they felt like an outcast and they said no not at all they see no reason to go on but claim the reason is due to loneliness and not having a gf or own family. Idk I'm not beating myself up over it or anything but i tried to help.

This is literally the worst way to think about it. If someone is even suspected to have though about Alt+F4'ing themselves, it is destructive to see it as seeking for attention. Nobody that's okay will use sewerslide as a way to get attention.

That's a common behavior among people who have BPD
...so common, in fact, and uncommon in the general population, that it's one of the signs suggesting that one should consider looking for the condition professionally to get... therapy.

(Specifically when someone says they're going to do it for attention,
not just when someone says they're going to do it - that's different.)
