Do you have a UltraHD 4k Monitor and PSU (power supply unit) of 1200Ws?
If you have a G-SYNC 4K monitor, you could still go with the RTX 4090 and use less wattage.
The difference is you get like an overclocked RTX 4090 using more wattage, minus 32-bit Physx (if you still play older games needing that) but 4 times the amount of AI Frames generation.
If you have something like the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM 32" 4K 240Hz OLED Gaming Monitor and ideally an ATX 3.1 PSU (power supply unit) 1200W with PCI-e 5 motherboard.
It's a serious beast... had issues with some monitors, but the graphic card drivers updates fix that. It all depends your price budget and what you are actually juicing. Ensure PC case space and no bottlenecks first.
Also, avoid the Trump Tariffs if American. It's like $1000 less or more in other countries. Trump really screwed you there.
The highest end RTX 5090 in New Zealand costs $6,999 NZD, which is $4,152.62 USD. Like wtf did Trump do to your country?
There's a lot more than gaming you can do with a 5090 today, its well worth it.

Many of these products can be made and brought in United States. Tariffs would be irrelevant in this case.
The reason for insane prices with New Zealand because everything is imported, There's nothing electronics wise that being produced locally. Local currency isn't great against USD, which does contribute to price imbalance.
As for ASUS monitors, they are really good brands. I wouldn't commit to OLED due to burn-ins that's would always be a possibility despite improvements being made. Mini-Led/IPS is the way to go.

back in the day thing used to work for weeks, nay months on end!
now everything starts breaking after like a week... all the memory starts corrupting and the CPU is constantly hot cuz they moved the memory controller in there so they could keep charging more for MOBOs... all a bunch of a crap sham.
my "fancy new PC" performs worse than the one I built over a decade ago >.>
