Buffy wasn't particularly happy about being brought back (the 2nd time; the first time was too short, even though it did trigger the calling of a new slayer).

As for Sara, I'm pretty sure she was just dead. Still, I can't remember whether she mentioned anything about the time between her resurrection through the Lazarus Pit and Constantine performing the restitution.
