Simple, what some deem to be inferior entertainment may, in fact, be perceived positively by others.

I enjoyed ME Andromeda. Starfield was OK but I doubt that I will ever revisit it. ME Andromeda however will get another play through.

And some of these I enjoy but I won't sit there and rabidly attack people who say they are bad I understand these games definitely have their flaws. So what's going on here? Is it inexperience with games if you've never played a game before these games might be amazing but I find that hard to accept in this day and age. Is it some new like Gen z thing how they are always crying about toxic and whatnot? Is there mindset "don't call it bad people worked hard on this game!!"

I am just baffled by this things were not this way years ago when a bad game dropped everyone knew and made sure to spread the word this game sucks. There were no people desperately defending terrible games.

for all games are technicly bad for someone . what makes a game good or not is in the eyes of the player like some says baldurs gate 3 is the worst game ever made other says the witcher 3 is the worst. concord failed for it wasnt diffrent from overwatch so why would anyone pay 40 euro for an game with an free equalivant

People need to argue about stuff.

Some people defend things if they spend a lot of money on them because the alternative is to admit they wasted money, which damages the ego.

Plenty of things, in short id say that ''every game is somebody's first'' so they wouldnt know better and wouldnt play better older games because of ''outdated graphics'' and what not but they will buy the ue5 remakes im sure.


Lets say the latest mafia game, it sucks, terrible game in many ways but it ''looks pretty'' that it does and hey for some people thats enough, there are lots of people with bad taste nothing bad with liking bad things.


People that do enjoy them will play them, be glad about it and wont even interact with the community ''online discourse'' etc at all. Thats the way to do it, enjoy your games who cares what other people think? you dont need their validation to enjoy ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugthesda games


As for what you speak of, I do find it amusing people defending their bad games that they like, the ''shills'' that will only play that one bad game and will be defending it saying how perfect and flawless it is on every corner of the internet! well for those the only positive thing i can say about its that im glad they found something to be passionate about and form (something resembling) a personality around heh.

And finally i would like to mention another group that has much in common with the above except for one thing, they do not play the game they defend at all, because it is a very bad game. But they do find entertainment in all the ''drama'' around it, i understand that type the most, for i have that in common with such a type, all that debate will always be more fun than playing such bad games heh.


I only enjoy reading about it, not attacking/insulting others for their different opinions online but eh fun, like many things, is relative.

REORC is bad but i love resident evil. honestly half the series is bad, but i still enjoy even the bad ones.

Some people don't want to admit they made a poor purchasing decision. They're not actually defending a bad game, they're trying to justify their decision to buy it.

That said, I actually like how Starfield was empty. Outpost building was pretty buggy though.
