I forgot just how agonizing Windows OS truly is .
I left windows over 15 months ago and i have to say it was one of the best choices I've ever made. The game " Outcore " relies on the inner workings of windows to work hence why I'm using windows right now. It took me forever just to find a simple solution just to be able to set up a local account so i could download steam to play the game.

Linux task = 2 min if you know what to do , 10-15 min if you're learning something new as you go via a simple command. On windows you can spend 2 hours trying to find a fix for the smallest thing , and you can come back after a hiatus only to then find out that simple things such as making a local account has been made harder . This OS sucks and I'm glad I'm done with it.

I'll play Outcore but once I'm done with it I'm never returning to windows ever again. I mean the load times , the bloatware , etc..... Never Again .......

Windblows is awfully awful, yeah.
ok ....

what's with the epidemic of whiny people who think others care what os you use
I just use it for Steam, buying junk from Amazon, and looking at overweight hairy German women.

The thread was to share a common experience with the headaches of windows OS. I replied to your silly comment out of amusement of your bait.
tbh skill issue, not you fault since every single update makes something less accessible. but it's still a skill issue. you can do anything on windows and if you don't know how, ask someone who does. answering those queries is what copilot is best at imho.

well if you don't want people who don't care/don't like Linux to reply then maybe post in a Linux circlejerk
I never spent 2 hours to try and figure out how to make a local account. I just didn't plug in my ethernet cable and it gave me the option to create a local account.

I don't like copilot and yes you can do what ever you want if you go under the hood of the OS and change everything . However if you do then at that point it's not windows anymore . Plenty of repos on github do this . Even if you use tronscript and debloat , or use O&OSU10 both the edge browser , and windows defender causes unnecessary updates still no matter how much you try and turn it off. It's baked into the very core of the OS.

The main point is that windows is still agonizing and I'm glad i went to linux.

it's win 11 current . They just made this a thing but a guy put up a video on getting around it about 2 days ago. Win doesn't want people making local accounts anymore upon setting up the OS.

i guess i'm still dissuaded by the learning curve. I spent my whole life learning to make windows do what i want it to, it would be a waste to swap unless my efforts were truly futile. i hope linux treats you well
