Iberian Harvester Ants

They are carrying around the full genome of another ant species so that the queen can lay a male of that species, mate with it and have hybrid workers.

I never discovered a species, but I think termites are quite clever. They build buildings out of spit and crap where they have temperature controlled chambers to farm algae for food.

Ants species in general pretty neat, plus they're the only species besides us that are on all continents (exception being Antartica, which given their name it's a bit ironic)

A type of species known as ''Offtopicous Trollicus'', i heard they are a type of invertebrate and they can be found here in these very forums.

I had a Praying Mantis on my window recently. The way it can turn its head and look around is so cool.

I showed it pictures of other Praying Mantis on my phone with Google images. It seemed interested in them.

I had a dragonfly land on me a few days ago, that was a first for me.

Nothing special, just a mantis.

I did see it. It flew up to my window at night and just stared in and kept asking for water.

A couple of Harvestman Spiders that hang around my outdoor water tap, usually see them in the evening when I draw water for my outdoor plants. They have much shorter legs than the ones I am familiar with.

I don’t like bugs. Fun fact but there was a hornets nest next to my house and I had to call the exterminator. Once he saw the nest he walked back to me and said “Dang!! I’m gonna need the big guns for this one.”

Eh, I saw a Luna moth once in my backyard. We also got a colony of Green Sweat Bee's somewhere too.

A lot of the times if you want to see rare or unusual insects, you usually got to cultivate them. Get things like Bee Balm plants and Milkweed.
