Yes, some people are addicted to the thrill of being the victim. It's definitely present on the left, though the 20+ identifiers in Twitter bios are more about being special than being victimized in my view.
But it's also present on the right. The idea of White genocide, or that Christians are persecuted in America, or the fetishization of cancellation are an expression of the same unhealthy tendency.
It reminds me of the Matrix and how human rejected the early version cause everything was to perfect. I think one of the things that helps and hurts our species is a constant desire for something new or different.
I know, but I guess I've grown a bit tired of posts that presuppose all the worst of people we don't interact with.
Anyway, yeah being a victim is all the rage nowadays, no matter your politics.
The right has been the victim of systematic oppression from the government, Democrats/modern leftist, and mega corps.
Look if it was the 1970s or maybe even the early 2000s I'd be saying the opposite. But its not. right wingers have been targeted. Leftist throw targets on themselves. Is my observation.
