If you really have IT, then the only answer is to start working on your improvement and upwards plan and begin the process.
I think I just need a job that doesn't involve having to work with other people at all. I've been thinking of doing my truck licence and drive trucks delivering goods. That way the only person I ever have to deal with outside of loading / unloading is me.
i assume you all get paid the same wether or not youre employee of the week or the month or the year. your coworkers are certainly lazy but it isnt entirely their fault its the ones who pay you minimum and see you as a load of worker ants
id say your decision to become a crappy worker should lie on wether or not you have any care for the company itself and if you see it worth it, you could be crappy and then spend that unspent time doing something productive maybe
There's a crazy amount of truck driving jobs in this country. Over 100+ jobs on indeed just in my city +15 miles radius.
I have zero cares for the company, the only reason I work hard and do a good job is for the self satisfaction I get from it. I don't care about the company at all, just as the company doesn't care about me.
Maybe. Only you know just how hot your fire burns and what your true ceiling is.
Ask yourself what changes(trucking?) will leave you were you need to be.
And there is one other possibility:
It may very well be true that you shouldn't be working with others. Sometimes, that is where it's at.
The other possibility is no, it's just you need to be with other people than the bunch you are currently surrounded by.
There are many possibilities here.
Being enthusiastic about working in a supermarket is not going to get you anywhere. It won't get you a promotion, and it can make your colleagues not like you because the boss will expect more from them instead of less from you.
I'll be honest I'm not trying to aim for some great high flying job. I much prefer simple jobs that I am content with. Good pay is just a bonus. And of course getting a job where everyone is as keen as me would be amazing but I think every job is going to have its fair share of slackers who just ride on the back of others.
in that case how strong is this satisfaction
if you truly enjoy working hard and keeping things in order i suggest you try and move up to a higher level and put that talent of yours to a use cause as you said, the company doesnt care and i assume your lazy coworkers dont either
i dont know you enough to suggest anything beyond the abstract idea but being able to even get an ounce of satisfaction from that is somewhat special and you should use it on something that will benefit you far beyond just the means
