UK Online Safety Act Has Affected Imgur
The worlds largest screenshot hosting site has now been affected by the online saftery act, rather than comply with the this "Act", Imgur has chosen instead to block access from the UK.

This will affect sites that use Imgur to display images but also will affect the steam workshop, mods that use Imgur to display pictures of the mod are now broken.

This isn't about protecting children, it's about controlling the UK and gathering data and there is nothing we can do about it. Guess I'm going to have to invest in a VPN.

I still remember imgur but it’s slowly falling off because Reddit (and yes I use to be on Reddit) has native imaging hosting. Not only that but imgur has a lot of technical issues which why they are slowly falling off.

Discord was already hacked and the details of thousands of children were released on the dark web, including their names, addresses, phone numbers and photo id.

I used Imgur quite regularly up until this update so it is a bit of a pest.

Don’t get me wrong. Imgur still has a niche when it comes to image hosting but that’s what it is, a niche.
imgur did this, not the UK govt.

Good. "Comply with our stupid law nobody here voted for, or we'll fine you!" would hit anyone's ears as "please give us the middle finger" especially if it's from a single small country and not the whole EU.

I encourage as many websites as possible to do this so the absurdity of this dumb law they've introduced becomes as undeniable as possible.

Keir Starmer, you've already surpassed Margaret Thatcher in being the most disliked prime minister, you can stop now.

Imgur wasn't willing to gamble with children's lives so they backed down when the government tried to force them to endanger british people.
The final objective of all this censorship is file sharing in general getting monitored or banned.
Big brother is watching.

Thatcher wasn't disliked. She won three elections. She was only disliked by her political opponents.

Keir Starmer wouldn't even have won the last election except that there was literally no one else to vote for. He got less votes than Jeremy Corbyn did when Corbyn got utterly thumped by Boris Johnson. Yet in less than a year he has managed to alienate 90% of his own electorate and even his own MPs despise him.

Keir Starmer isn't just the most disliked Prime Minister, he's probably the most disliked person in the entire country, including the large number of terrorists and Gary Glitter.

In fact, I daresay his wife probably tells their kids that he isn't really their daddy in order to help them get to sleep at night. Which is probably true. She probably ran to John Major for some sexual excitement.

The British Government is pro child rape considering they allowed thousands of child rapists to enter the country, let them rape tens of thousands of children and then called the children prostitutes and refused to prosecute the rapists.

Quite before my time so I'm only going of what I heard. Mainly consisting of the Poll Tax and her removing free milk from kids school lunches, closing mines? I saw an image of a historical satisfaction survey of British prime ministers, she was pretty disliked, but Keir Starmer was far, far more disliked than any other. Now that I mention it I don't know how reliable that data was.

I think you may be absolutely right. I haven't met a single person in the UK who doesn't have a strong negative feeling against him. Even the people who aren't into politics seemingly always have a reason to hate him. *sigh*

Something isn't right when somebody literally nobody likes is in power and changing things in the country.

I'm glad to hear this. Websites shouldn't be making everyone follow another country's laws anyway. I don't answer to the damn royal family.
