I do appreciate a wonderful eating experience, it's one of the great pleasures in life but I can't expect someone to be putting on such a production every year, multiple times a year.

We always have people over for Thanksgiving dinner, every year, my wife is an amateur chef and prepares an outstanding menu! Christmas dinner is the same and on Christmas we feed a couple of extra families that are not as fortunate, we deliver them Christmas dinner and homemade cheesecakes for dessert.

If you people ruin it, can't you just...not invite said people? Or just invite smaller group of people, I dunno.

if i didnt invite certain people i would get spammed with angry phonecalls from distant relatives that arnt even coming lol
if they make it through the restaunt chicken heathen feast without fighting maybe il start again next year, for now tho probs not

My family’s Thanksgiving is very drama-free. It’s just me, mom and dad, sister and nephew (nephew is only around every other year though) and one aunt. Everyone else that used to celebrate with us has passed away. The other relatives closest to us are around 4 hours away and we’ve never met up for thanksgiving.
So yeah, it’s an extremely quiet and uncomplicated holiday for us. Pretty dull though and kind of sad feeling since everyone else is gone. 😞
