Oh boy, it feels like wow haven't done anything right.
Basic controls are insane: you need to hold right mouse button to turn camera. You need to click on objects to focus them into target lock. Literally UX from 1992.
Graphics are ok, but why promo art and cg cutscenes aim for serious more realistic looks, they are completely disconnected from ingame graphics, as if developers are trying to deceive people?
Music is generic and out of context. You have a world torn by wars and curses, but the music sounds like it was ripped from a disney movie.
Combat is fully static. you push hotkeys on action bar, once per hour you encounter an enemy that requires to dodge special attacks (area of effect is telegraphed by highlights on the ground 10 seconds ahead of attack). There is zero impact, characters don't play any animation when they got hit, and they aren't pushed back. Basic attack happens once in 3 seconds, between attacks character is standing still.
Quests and writing are not engaging. A quest is just a tiny textbox with "accept" button that sends you on collecting 30 items from mobs. you don't need to pay attention to anything said in this game, unless you want to suffer from bland writing. The writing is not engaging: There is no important info in the cutscenes or text boxes.

Free trial limits you to level 20. I had a hope that game will just close itself after that, but no, it stays playable, you just won't get any level ups and stuck at level 20. I hoped I will encounter some difficulty barrier that will prevent me from playing the game, but nonono, the world is autoleveled, so whereever you go, all enemies will be level 20 for you, so you can keep playing.

I don't want to keep playing. The only thing that prevents me from deleting the game is its size, 100GiB. Why? It looks so low res.

You might say "oh it is an old game from 2004, it was good back then, it is just outdated now", but no, I played daggerfall and quake 1 for the first time in 2020, I played half-life and it is one of my favourite games, I played Gothic 1 and 2, I played dozens of games that came out before 2004, and they are better.

If there is hell, and it has computers, they have wow installed on it and you will be forced to play it there. And you will be forced to listen conversations of wow players about stats, buffs, debuffs, and raid bosses.

wow is everything I could possible hate in videogames.
