Do you at least know how to do basic algebra, fractions, decimals? If so then that’s pretty much all you need in life. Unless you’re doing something crazy like building something complex then you’re good.

It's only hard when you're pressured to know it. You gotta find situations that you can relate to that require it so that way it's easier to understand.

is it math you hate or learning
Learning math

you probably love math and are subconsciously afraid of finding the faults in the currently-taught axioms through sheer interest.

it's like waving a stick around blindfolded in the dark; you don't know what's going to happen, every time you open your mind to this new information.

it's the only legal way to do many simplistic calculations, and being familiar with the faulty implementations we're legally required to utilize may help you in your life.

for instance calculating grocery store sales rotations and stock investment patterns based on shopping there and tabulating the prices of things over time. you could know when something is probably going to go on sale ahead of time, and when a stock dip is strange or normative.

Pretty much this. If you know that much then you'll get pretty far in life unless you generally look for opportunities that require higher math.

As a child I was good enough at math to never need to pay attention to it. But as an adult, you can learn to appreciate math much easier when you're stuck in a situation where you really need it. i personally think you can live your life without much use of math, but there is no way I'd ever ask you for advice.
IQ should have stayed at 65
Like wine and still frames of Joe Biden eating a sandwich, there's so many kinds of math that there's sure to be some you like.

I was hopeless until I got into fun stuff that's easy to visualize like game theory, geometry, trigonometry and discrete math.

No disrespect to Sir Isaac and Herr Leibniz, but calculus really is useless bollocks.
as someone whos 40 and interested in computer science, i really wish i had learnt more maths, yeah i can build a computer and run a fairly efficient system, but thats where i hit my limit going any deeper is why you need to learn maths, if you really want to understand any of the complexities of electronics thats why it's so important take it from an old man don't be a dummy. you'll regret it one day.

that's basically outsourcing your life to an algorithm. the main component of scientismist thought.

the algorithm said 'grow, learn math,' so you did and it designed circumstances where you were rewarded mathematically; but where you couldn't calculate or tabulate that this was happening due to your belief in a false set of axioms.

it's the same ignorance of math kicked down the hallway.

the other way lies difference, knowing more, alienation.
