Me? Or sorry, just in general right? The general you right?
The working class was label as such to distinct them from the not working class. And the not working class hire people to not work were the state pays them to hire someone doing their work.
Thereby stimulances of the economy couldn't be seen as anything but pure theft as them take the money from the poor to the rich to send the poor into community service to earn what was theirs to begin with.
The economy only works when the demand exceed the supply. Consequences are that to ensure that some are struggle by their actions, how long to be punished is shorter for some than others.
Media and writers are drama queens to picture this struggle of theirs. The visual projection of punishment is more painful than any you could feel on your own.
Consequence is created by actions of people who are not yourself. Thereby it can only be an illusion as it need to be kept sustainable by people to work.
The physical consequence of dying or abandoned, these actions were created a long time ago before the consequences who were already waiting for you. It's prophecy and you know what will happen as it has already been predicted in the rulebooks and laws.
It's a strange world where in west murder of people is fairly cheap compared to working as the murderer gets a roof and food on his table. The consequence is wasting peoples time, knowing that they already are wasting peoples time. But some may not be aware of it.
To the state you're a pawn and all these pawns are identical. There is no difference between you and criminals in the eyes of the state.
