These are my personal anime recommendations, chosen not just for their stories, but for how they touched my heart when I was 13 made me reflect deeply on life. I first watched them nearly a decade ago hard to believe how quickly time slipped away; I still treasure the feelings they gave me as a kid. Sometimes I return to these animes, drawn back by the way they make me quietly reflect on what truly matters in life.

These animes taught me that everything in life will wither away, that nothing lasts forever. In the end, what truly matters is the love we give and share with one another.

P.S.: I’d love to hear if you have any other recommendations that are close to your heart. :stardrop:

Clannad After Story ruined me when I watched it the first time. Probably the only time I was fine with an asspull that grants you a happy ending, but I guess it'd be hard to adapt that feature from a VN.

I forgot a lot about Angel Beats, in fact the only thing I remember is that one dude that drops Engrish one liners for no reason, probably my favorite character in the show.

I'm surprised that Ghost in the Shell isn't in this list.

I won't appologize ;) though i will say a sizeable portion of animes i didn't put in there on purpose.

The VN kind of builds it up and you have to finish each route I believe, it is a bit of a “huh?” Moment but it works.

Big thanks to all of you for your recommendations!
Grimgar: Of Fantasy And Ash
It has its faults, but it reminds you that reality can come at you pretty hard.
